Originally from Hertfordshire, UK, Joe moved to Australia in 2013 and quickly established a career in civil construction. With extensive experience across NSW, Qld, SA, the ACT and Vic, he has developed specialist expertise in tunnel works and shotcrete applications.

Joe holds EFNARC Shotcrete certification and a comprehensive range of operational qualifications, including Excavator, Moxy, Skid Steer, Front-End Loader, Agitator, HR Licence, Silica Awareness and Asbestos Awareness. Each reflects a deep technical foundation and a commitment to safety, precision and industry excellence.

Joe co-founded Shire Civil with his business partner, Chris, combining 25+ years’ experience to deliver high-quality civil works for clients across Australia.

Originally from Chesterfield, UK, Chris moved to Australia in 2014 and established a career in civil construction shortly after arriving. Over more than a decade, he has gained extensive experience across NSW and interstate, building a reputation for technical skill, leadership and reliability on site.

With a strong foundation in operations and project delivery, Chris brings practical expertise and a results-driven approach to every stage of construction. His work is defined by attention to detail, consistency and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Chris co-founded Shire Civil alongside his business partner, Joe, combining over 25 years of collective experience to deliver dependable, high-quality outcomes for clients across Australia.

Originally from Ireland, Dave relocated to Australia in 2010 and brings more than 18 years of experience across the road and heavy rail sectors. He has supported the design and delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects throughout Australia and Europe, developing specialist expertise in civil, structural, track, electrical and signalling systems.

With a strong background in project and construction management, Dave provides strategic oversight and operational leadership across multiple disciplines. His experience includes major road, bridge and rail upgrades, where he has led teams in planning, construction and delivery. Known for his technical precision and collaborative approach, Dave plays a key role in supporting the Directors and ensuring excellence across every project.
